Baby it's cold outside..

It's been so cold out that Mommy and I haven't been able to get out much so when it was almost 40 degrees on Saturday mom and daddy took me outside for hours. We had so much fun - I slept the entire time and then for hours after that.

My new friends, Kathy and Erica came to see me this weekend and brougt me a new outfit. Mommy has had me in this thing taking pictures all day. I have a feeling these are going to come out when I am 20 years old.

Happy Holidays??

Our mission today was to take a great picture of Maddy for our holiday card. I made the mistake of attempting this just before his next feeding - the results:

Three weeks old already

And every day has been amazing. He has discovered his hands and loves his mobile and swing. I am in love.

He's here

Maddock Finnian arrived a little early on Sunday, November 4th. After 16 hours of labor and an emergency c-section, he made his appearance at 2:43 in the afternoon weighing in at 8lbs 9oz - not nearly the 10lbs that the doctors had predicted.

After 4 days in the hospital we have spent our first full day home and it has been amazing. Daddy had to go to work today but will be home soon.

It's been a while since I last posted

We have been busy getting ready for Maddock Finnian who will be here soon. I am 19 days away from my actual due date but we will know more after our ultrasound on Friday. Maddock has been consistently measuring 2 weeks ahead and his last ultrasound had him in the 97th percentile or 1 full pound over your average baby. We find out friday if I will be giving birth to a Thanksgiving turkey via c-section or just an oven stuffer naturally.

I will post nursery and belly pictures this week.

Big baby weekend

Now that we know it's a boy we are in full nursery decorating mode...

We ordered the bedding, ordered the furniture and started a registry.

Registering was an all day process, despite my intensive research, spreadsheet and detailed list. Mike was like a kid in a candy store - zapping everything and anything he liked. He disappeared with the gun and wouldn't tell me what he had added to the list. When we got home, I logged into the registry to find a bag of Famous Amos cookies at the end of the registry. It will be interesting to see how many bags of cookies he ends up getting.

The stroller is in and I love it.

If anything, having such a cute stroller will make me want to get out there and walk off the baby weight.

The baby is dancing around like a maniac. His favorite time to boogie is when mommy is trying to sleep. Most mothers that I know have told me that feeling the baby is the most amazing thing in the world. While I do think it's pretty cool that I can feel him, it feels like an alien has invaded my body and I am terrified of how this kid is going to get out of me.

Now that I am starting to show, I will start posting belly pictures.

It's a BOY!!!

We went this morning for the 18 week ultrasound and found out that we are having a little boy. He's just like his dad already, blocking his face when the u/s tech was trying to get a profile and then dancing around so they couldn't get the measurements. The appointment was supposed to take 45 minutes, we were there for over an hour. He seems to have even more energy for dancing than he did at the 12 week u/s.

Lucky number 13 has arrived

Peyton Alexis was born on Sunday, April 29th at 8:15 am. She is the smallest of my sister's babies weighing in at 9lbs 8oz. She joins her brothers, Tyler and Dylan and the 10 other nieces and nephews on our holiday list.

We don't have a single month that does not have at least one family member's birthday.

Anyone remember the dancing baby in Ally McBeal?

That's exactly what the bean looked like at our latest ultrasound. Mike was in awe at how much the baby was moving and everytime the Dr. would try and take a measurement, the bean would move his/her hands in the air (like he just didn't care). The dr. said that it looked like he was moving to the beat of my heart. So cute. Will post pics as soon as I get my scanner up and running.
Mike jokes that he/she looks like they are going fishing in this picture, the feet are resting comfortably on the womb and the hand are on his/her belly.

Not only is David Yurman my best friend...

He's also my lucky charm.
After over two years of trying to have a baby, countless invasive tests and being told that we would not conceive without medical intervention we created our own little miracle!! On our own!!
The beanster bean is due on Noveber 10, 2007. We have already had two ultrasounds which both showed strong heartbeats and perfect size.

We can't wait to meet our litte bean.

David Yurman is my new best friend..

I woke up this morning to a beautiful David Yurman bracelet sitting on my pillow and two inches of ice on the ground.

I kept my mind off of skidding down the street by staring at my shiny new bracelet.

Happy Valentine's Day
